The most common repair in the Uk is a broken spring replacement , we recommend that you change both springs on double doors as when one breaks it puts a large amount of pressure on the remaining spring .

The picture on the left shows you where to find the balance weight on your door and this is important information along with the width x height and insulation thickness , the more information you can give us the easier it will be to supply the correct parts .

On older doors you may not be able to just replace the spring itself and may have to buy a conversion kit , the conversion kit is an easy fix and replaces the springs cables and drums , left and right spring winding end and anti drop device . and the spring itself . I Drive Transmitters in the Uk spec of 3btn 433mhz have now been discontinued .The American and European versions of this item do not work with the Uk spec Idrive .

To keep your door as an automated model we reccomend changing the Idrive for a standard boom type operator , with this model you get two remote controls and full Led programming so its very easy to set up .

The unit has a rail that is 2.9meters long into the garage along the ceiling and operates with a chain that pulls and pushes the door open and closed . To install you will need to remove the I drive as this model is possitioned in the center of the door .
